Services

At Tefa Ra we bring the most innovative and effective methods of alternative healthcare to you. If you are in the DC Baltimore metropolitan area, we can offer service to you. It is our belief that patients should first seek out the safest and most non-invasive approach to healing before resorting to more dangerous methods that often only mask the outer symptoms without addressing the underlying cause. Tefa Ra treats both the symptoms and the underlying cause of the disorder. This harmonization of Body, Mind, and Spirit is accomplished by using a variety of Natural and Holistic Treatment Modalities. Some of these modalities include:

The burning of the herb moxa (mugwort) near the body, often used in conjunction with acupuncture as an element of Chinese medicine.

  • Magnet Therapy
Magnet therapy, or magnetic therapy, is a form of alternative medicine based on the concept that certain medical disorders can be effectively treated by exposure to magnetic fields. Magnetic fields emanating from permanent magnets placed close to the body can cause bones to heal faster, relieve pain, and perform other forms of healing to the body. It is most commonly recommended by practitioners as a cure for joint disorders and back problems.
  • Cupping (suction cup therapy) a technique of applying suction over selected points or zones in the body. A vacuum is created by warming the air in a glass jar and overturning it onto the body to disperse areas of local congestion. This therapy is used in the treatment of arthritis, bronchitis, and sprains, among other ailments.
  • Aromatherapy the herbal medicine use of essential oils from plants, flowers, trees and herbs to achieve health, vitality and rejuvenation of the body, mind and spirit
  • Gua Sha (gentle scraping therapy) Gua sha involves firmly rubbing a person's skin with a ceramic soup spoon or large coin. The goal is to relieve stagnation, or in other words, to clear some illness from the body by getting it to move. Gua sha is used commonly on respiratory illnesses, for example, where the skin of the upper back, neck, and chest may be rubbed.
  • Ari-Sa Ankh A meditative healing technique involving the use of prayer and hand gestures to heal the body.
  • Dietary Therapy Counseling to keep patients from eating foods that will harm them or interrupt treatments.
